... I wanna fly!

Well, second piece in a row with a title including 'butterfly' .. I have no clue why ... I don't have an obsessions with butterflies .. really.

Anyways this is my entry for the "Wings contest" held by *chaguieva First time I'm entering a contest here at DA.

I drew the sketch early last week, scanned it and started working in Photoshop sometime last week. I planned to finish it this weekend, but then I got ill, and was completely unable to work on this, which really annoyed me. Well, I'm feeling much better now, so for the last two or three hours I have been playing with this.

It originally started out as a vector, I wanted to go for the same style as I did "Boy and Fish", because I liked working with that style as well as the outcome.
Then I added the background, which I made a while ago just for brush practicing, and thought it would look good in this one, and I could obviously don't submit this in the vector category, nor the vexel one.

Most of the time I had great fun working on this, and I'm actually pretty pleased with the outcome (which is rare for me). I love the cuteness and the colors. And this one has tempted me to get more practice with the airbrush, because sometimes I just get so sick of making all those vector shapes.

Please tell me if the file size is too big, I already resized it because the file I was working on was very big, but I'm not sure if it's still too big ...
